Well now that Steam has both PC and Mac games but not all of the Steam games are formated for Mac like CS 1.6.
Tell me which do you think is best, PC-Windows or Apple iMac?
Should TF2 be played on the iPad? Should Valve revive the good old times in CS 1.6 for the iMacs?
What do you think?

Re: PC Vs Mac
As far as games go, no. A MAC is not a good idea.
Why? It's OpenGL only, no DirectX wrapper, which makes the majority of steam games unattainable apart from converted made for MAC or a lot of simpler indie games.
As far as applications go, yeah if you use MAC applications use a MAC. Try one out to see if you have a need for it, because you can always use bootcamp and have a Windows partition for gaming.
Solely for Mac for gaming though is a no go. And apart from the two top end Macbook Pro's and the Desktop solution, the rest have rather sub-par and will go out of date in 12-18 months graphics solutions.
I hope that's a better response than "Mac is gay". I think Kop owns a Mac y'know
Oh and TF2 on an ipad? Jog on, it'd get raped and be unplayable. The graphics solution on an iPad is actually comparable to an old Geforce 4 generation or so.

Re: PC Vs Mac
granted, apple are ahead when it comes to gadgets and microsoft follow, but same as PC's are ahead with home computers and Macs are left in their wake. I don't own any iwhatever stuff, but if i was going for them kinds of gadgets, they would be my point of call.
Macs are good for like 1 or 2 systems, like video and graphic design processing type programs, PC is best for everything else and only slightly under performs next t the Mac stuff... not really a good selling point for mac users...... "PC is great at everything apart from a few bits that we're slightly better at, but you get better software support on PC so not like it matters"

Re: PC Vs Mac
They're not that far apart.
PC is more mainstream so third party applications are easier to come by, equally DirectX is mainstream aswell so graphics solutions are easier to come by. However neutrality is shifting towards making both solutions equally viable in the very near future.

Re: PC Vs Mac
Well I generally find those old PowerPC chipset iMacs lame and the newer Intel ones seem OK but not as good to the Windows PCs.
