hi guys, seems now i have a pc that may actually play game i thought id have a little go, only to find i cant login........ strange....... so i did the forgotten my details link and none of the emails to reset the PW are coming to my account. ive checked with my brother and im no longer on his friends list. i assume that will be the same for your friends lists, so awaiting steam to come back to me now, only prob is i dont think i have the cd keys to prove my purchase, is this gonna be a problem????

Well w/o some origional cd-keys you should still be ok if you used a card to buy from the store or maybe even if you just still have acsess to the origional email account and can answer some security q's.

i still have the original email account, i dont use it on a daily basis, hence me missing the email to say the contact email address had been changed at the start of may 2011. will have to see what they come back with. lol

if it had a contact email change without u knowing, then yeah, very likely been hacked

did you have many games on it? cos with you saying you finally got a PC that can play games on it i'm thinking that perhaps you didn't have many and maybe it'll be cheap to replace your account.

that would be worse case though, and i bet a few here have spare copies of HL2 that came free with later version of HL2:Ep1 etc, so some stuff could be replaced, but hopefully you can get your stuff back.

Hopefully it wont come to that, i have had a reply telling me i have to prove ownership, thankfully i have found my original HL cdkey, scanned and sent reply, but OMG they are soooooo slow, dont get me wrong i know they prolly have alot of mail to sift through, but 2 days since i sent them my proof........
