The film is shot in the same manner of films such as Blair Witch & Cloverfield where it's like a single camera home movie thing.
The setup is that this woman is being haunted and her boyfriend that she lives with is into technology and decides to get a camera to see if they can capture whats going off, or catch the neighbours kids messing with them. During the daytime they discuss whats happened previously, generally the woman is scared and the bloke is like... omg how can we make it do more stuff. During the night he has setup a camera in the bedroom that focusing looking down the hallway, so you can see what happens at night.
This is an awesome film. Horror films don't scare me at all, i might be a bit ew and stuff at gory films, but gory isn't horror imo.... this film however, i've only watched it twice, but the lights have to go on eventually as it messes with my head. It's played out in a realistic kind of way... as realistic as it can get, but it doesn't ruin things by creating a visual of whats terrorising them... it lets you dream it up yourself.
gradually the haunting gets worse and worse. There's a few alternate ending on youtube n stuff, and some of them are... imo, better than what they actually used.
I'd give this film 10 bouncing smileys out of 10
