oh and find this file:
C:\Users\<computer account>\AppData\Local\ArmA 2 OA\ArmA2OA.RPT

it has details of all client issues in it, find bits and post using the code tags so we can see errors

Ok so when i open Arma before the game starts up it pops up with Addon 'Dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Dubbing_Counterattack' then it will do 1 of two things, crash and say 'Cannot load world 'Ca/Chernarus/chernarus.wrp' or it will say something about a file called Civilian1 being missing Any ideas?
Oh and i cant find the file

its being discussed here: http://steamcommunity.com/app/224580/di ... 587830610/
http://steamcommunity.com/app/224580/di ... 300727147/ <- someone mentions a youtube video

they seem to have fixes for this -
basically goto steam folder/steamappas/common arma2, highlight all of it and copy, go into arma2 oa folder and paste saying Yes to replacing all the files it want to

I think the gist of the above is that you copy the contents of the ArmA2 Addons folder into the A2 OA Addons folder...assuming that you've actually downloaded ArmA2 of course in the first place and not just ArmA2 OA and that you have 8Gb of free space too to copy the files over too initially.

I think had this problem way back when I played ArmA2 OA prior to Dayz coming out and that the usual fix for most people if I recall was to run both ArmA2 and ArmA2 OA once individually to make sure they both were registered properly on your PC.

These days as this is the only server I play on I start the game from a desktop shortcut (right click on on ArmA2 OA in your Steam Library and select "Create Desktop Shortcut". You also need to specify what mod to launch with it so right click on AmA2 OA, select "Properties" and then in "Set Launch Options..." and add this line in -mod=@Dayz_Epoch1051 -nointro -nosplash . Note that I have a @Dayz_Epoch1051 folder as I downloaded the mod via Dayz Launcher (to see the name of your Epoch folder look in Steam, Steam Apps, Common, arma 2 operation arrowhead). Double clicking the shortcut opens steam and then the game.

Anyway...are you fixed now George?
