There's a new Star Wars one on the horizon which looks good

I look at it this way Kop regarding the monthly fee. I pay £9 a month to play wow but before I played MMO's I bought a game a month at £30-£40 a time. So in a sense for me its a massive saving (well over a grand) (Only bought two games since I got Wow and thats Orange Box and Left for Dead).

Anyway thread hyjack I've still got a few mates playing Guild Wars.

imo guild wars gets better when you can group with more people and do the storyline missions, in the area where most of us are atm you can only have 4 in a group (or 2 if your in the pre-searing), so can be a bit meh... but free gaming can always be fun .

imo though guild wars wouldn't be worth a monthly fee because there's not a lot of depth to it, or at least on first look. Guild vs Guild matches can be really good and be really competitive, apprently it's the most competitive PvP in an MMORPG purely because it's skill based and not based on whoever has been playing longer (eg PvP characters are the highest level and you can make em whenever you like). And then in Factions, you can buy cities through the guild, though there's not many to buy and only big guilds with faction point grinders get em. though like kop, i wouldn't pay to play guild wars.

tbh the other versions do make it a little more interesting, but i'm speaking as someone who's played 1 and 2 way to much
