i now own hl1 thx to Thal, cheers buddy. silly thing is i didnt have to install it when i recieved it as all the shit was in my cs1.6 and tfc that already owned :S even tho sven still wouldnt work without actually owning hl

it would 100% work with CS 1.6 , cos i remember some people i knew at uni who had cs retail, and that played HL1 mods, and steam CS is basically all those together so has the required files.

Anyway, HL1 is only like £2.99 so well worth the buy... plus it gives you all the single player maps. These maps can be played in sven coop adding new enemies and makes HL1 into a coop game. Could be worth doing this on friday... HL1 via Svencoop

nagash i tried with cs1.6 and tfc b4, wouldnt work has to launch game it had to launch HL1 and i didnt have that so wouyldnt let me do it, dont matter now tho as thaldarin gave me a copy

think they updated svencoop since then to combat that issue, as used to be a steam prob, but like you say you not an issue anymore... i do remember loads of cic playing svencoop in the past though, and yoshi was playing... so i assumed you had hl1 or the ability to play svencoop also.
