Webspace move and downtime

Ok cic-clan.com will be moving providers over the next days/weeks to a new provider.
this move will save about £60 a year as i bought the space outright forever, the domain name costs about £5 a year so this is nothing.
the move is complicated as i need to copy every sql table into the new host and 1.5GB of data into the new ftp. Then the domain dns entry will need to refresh to point at the new webspace and this can take an hour.
I hope with georges help to keep this downtime to the minimum but please be aware if things dont respond then we could be moving and give us a prod in irc to ask where we are.

after these initial moves i will then need to change bot configs and linux stuff i have setup at home to upload some items.

cheers

90% of files transfered.
DNS move has started and should mean that at some point over the next 24 hours you will just suddenly beon the new webserver.
hopefully no downtime as dbs already swapped and both sites live but there may be a blip as the ip changes so if suddenly your forum post you are working on disapears dont cry just redo it.
Bot scripts now switched over so the warstats wont update until dns catches up
please dont upload any files to web or forums until dns has moved as the files could be lost.
please report any and all issues you have with any part of the websites as i need to check everything before i close down streamline account and they delete everything.

big thanks to george for help and support in the move which has taken hours of crap.
thanks

ipconfig /flushdns

looks like virgin has propogated new dns so 99% sure its finished changeover but you should
run> cmd
ping ftp.cic-clan.com
ping cic-clan.com

if either is a 213 address then thats the old site, if its 79 then you are on the new one.

ipconfig /flushdns

try ping again, if still 213 then you isp hasnt finished dns update yet so wait before you upload anything.

thanks
