I was a bit bored tonight so I made some mock up server loading screens in photoshop (couldn't be used i would imagine tho as i don't know the original artists of the background images)

oo nice, will be in touch as we will need new screen soon due to all the updates and addons.

Font is Futura-Bold

loading screens looking good but would look better with the proper logo etc since it's a specific angle, font and all that other design jazz

background on the psd is the red zoom effect thing but obviously you can just remove that, the main bits are the CiC and Goat head icon.

what i have also been doing with YouTube video preview images is using the Goat Head as a mask for people, so dunno if you wanna incorporate that as well? but it's not a requirement or anything, just keeps everything similar themed

u probably already know this as well, but incase you don't, please try and keep the image file size as low as possible, as this effects load times to the server.... obviously don't make it low quality so that it looks rubbish, just keep in mind that faster connection to the server is better for all.

cool i more or less cobbled it together from steam screengrabs and freehanded the goat shape as a lasso and pasted it on the dayz logo.
I got to thinking , wouldn't it be cool to turn this into some kind of competition.
people design the loading screen with the given psd and the admins decide which is the winner.

prizes could be say a truck full of building supplies or whatever.

looks really cool but will be changing pvp zones and some rules so that has to be changed then but we have been overdue for a new loading screen.
