Evolve

I have seen some odd videos of evolve flying around the place but never knew the actual game name or how awesome it looks until now
Looks like it's being played on a console but steam has it as well so it'll be on PC also. All releases are set for Feb 2015 but you just know PC will get better treatment since they can role out updates quicker on steam.
The game is by the people who also created Left 4 Dead... not Overkill, Turtle Rock Studios... not quite the same people but whatever
it's basically a 4v1 game. From what i can make out the "Hunters" have 4 players, each one being a specific role.... medic, etc. The 1 player is a monster. Objective is for humans to kill the monster and monster to kill the humans... basic... dead your dead, though medic can revive people so they are the main target of the monster. I also believe each map has a focal point making it so the monster can attack something to win the game... making it so the humans can't just run around and forget about the bit their supposed to defend.
There is also PvE elements to the game, like plants and creatures that are there for the monster to eat... when it eats it'll gain armour and also level up to a bigger and more powerful monster.... and there's elite stuff around the map that when eaten it'll be able to choose extra attributes. Leveling up also allows it to customise itself with more attributes and powers.... So tactics come into it... do hunters sit back and defend, or do they hunt? since killing pve stuff will halt the leveling ability of the monster.... though nature bites back as you can see in the video above.
Does look a really good game and i gonna keep my eye on it. hopefully they are doing a proper versus mode where it can be team against team like this video suggests, cos i can see it being a game we could do something competitive at as well. Anyway, enjoy the video.
