Wow hey, 2 reviews and they seem related!

Peter Parker runs the gauntlet as the mysterious company Oscorp sends up a slew of super villains against him, impacting his life.
Watched back to back with 1, i still liked this one and it had plenty of explosions and same as the first it had some humour which was a bit more intelligent than the old series.

I wont spoil the end but, i was a little shocked!

Another one to watch when you have time on your hands as it pushes the right buttons for me.

I liked dubstep man in this... i mean electro :D. I joke about that but i did actually love the scene where they over use dubstep to show off electro's powers.... which is proper awesome in the cinema because of the surround sound. Some people i have spoke to who saw it at the cinema didn't notice it, but i loved it how Electro is going a bit insane and you can hear his mind telling him to do things and trying to persuade him to do stuff... and then he gets his powers and those voices get amped up.... i really don't think home TV will do it justice tbh.

the storyline isn't as good as the first one... usually expected with sequels but imo that isn't why, it's because they jammed soooo many easter eggs into it for fans that sometimes it just didn't work for certain scenes. They used so many infact that alot got cut out of the film.... like Mary Jane Watson... a major major character in the spiderman universe, was actually cut out of the film. She only had a bit part but apprently it was like 3 or 4 scenes and things that would setup for the 3rd film, but it was judged to be just another sub-plot, and this film is chocka with sub-plots. ALOT of stuff from the trailer is also cut out.... like things that were pitched as major storylines in the trailer never actually appeared in the film, so alot of critics mark it down for that alone, which is kind of understandable, even though it's not part of the film, your expecting something that never shows up.

My main problem with this film is that it focus's way to much on Peter and Gwen's love interest storyline plot thing... tbh, that all went down in the first film, move on already... the film features 3 villains from the spiderman universe, and 3 quite popular ones at that, but due to the extended scenes with Gwen, basically ALL of Rhino's scenes are seen in the trailer, Electro gets good fight scenes but not much development after he gets his powers and the Green Goblin is pretty much "i'm the green goblin now" and pretty much shoe horned into the film.... the whole backstory is that he's pretty much a psycho anyway, but even so it's like he just rage quits the story because things aren't going his way and is totally unreasonable about it.

This all sets up the next film, which is a team up movie based around the Sinister Six... a Villains film instead of Superheroes. Obviously gonna be 6 of them but from the Spiderman 2 film it hints at a few....

Green Goblin
Rhino
Doctor Octopus
Vulture

and then 2 more that are unknown, and you can't really tell from knowing the comics as well because the lineup tends to change alot when they get pwned by Spiderman. Usually the others might include, Mysterio, Camelian and well.... can't remember who else :D, but basically that film will be aimed at setting up Spiderman 3

i agree with ned :4.0:
