Storyline
A remake of the 1985 original, teenager Charley Brewster (Yelchin) guesses that his new neighbor Jerry Dandrige (Farrell) is a vampire responsible for a string of recent deaths. When no one he knows believes him, he enlists Peter Vincent (Tennant), a self proclaimed vampire killer and Las Vegas magician, to help him take down Jerry. Written by Anonymous

My Outcome
Fright Night (2011) had its ups and downs to be fair like most american films comedy/horror.
Dude goes to high school and goes out with the best looking lass and then finds them self trying to get away from the evil spirits/monsters. Have you noticed that the monsters/evil thing. Always goes for Really good looking people and not someone like ugly betty.
Anyways the film was very average with some funny parts put in places through out the film. I would not say this film was terrible. Just not Brilliant that I would go out and buy it. Colin Farrell played quite a cool part as a vampire and the Dr who guy made me laugh a few times with some of his qoutes/comments. NOT the best horror I have seen. prob not even in my top 50 horror films either.

Some points that could change your mind. (doubt it)
Gore factor: Nothing like SAW. Just some blood and arms cut off now and then.
Nudity: well to be fair there is more Nudity in The sun news paper then in this film.
Horror Factor: none at all. I was more scared of the slobs on there phones next to me eating each others faces. ( texting and eating there faces off at the same time was impressive i have to admit. lol HA!
Funny Factor: some good parts and qoutes.

2.5 / 5 stars for me charlie. :D ( Dont ask who Charlie is. I dont know) p.s sorry about grammer and spelling i got 30 mins to get dressed and cycle 7 miles. DOH!!!
:2.5:

considered going to see this, however i saw the trailer and didn't have David Tennent in the trailer at all, and was like wtf cos this movie is being promoted over here as being his first major film role, so kinda makes no sense, and thus put me off a little... though was never going to see it for him anyway, it just gave me the impression that the film producers have no idea whats good about the film cos they missed out a major character from the trailer.

I watched the original after picking it up in Blockbuster bargain bin last year for £1. Definetly want to see the remake though. The trailer looked good anyway :P

yeah trailer for new one does look good, but since they missed out a major character it just makes me think the stuff involving the missed out main character will be crap

not the advert though, the trialer, and they usually make a few of them for different areas and age demographics, so they prob just missed out on this one. For a TV advert though, they'd be stupid not to show him cos the whole promotion if it in the uk is centre around him
