I am going to be trying out adverts on the home site and on the forums to try and raise some funds for CiC as donations have been slow and i have had to pull several servers due to costs.
Have your say in the poll - all adverts will be from google and i will try to keep them relevant to CiC and gaming/computer peoples.

Go for it. I'll disable my
adblock as soon as you add them.
edit: disabled it now actually.
Also, add a chipin or paypal button visible on the website that says "Donations" and possibly people might click it

You need to be careful where on the forums you put them, but I see no harm in trying to make a little money from visitors.
The usual place is after the first post in a topic, or in the forum header... The actual website one seems out the way so will not be a problem

I am always in awe of advertisement revenue on websites. I personally have never clicked an advert banner
on purpose in all my years online. I'm well aware I've slipped and hit one by accident and closed them down on plenty of occasions.
Do people here honestly click on other sites adverts frequently? I find this topic interesting to ask

Ive never clicked on an advert in my life. The good thing about Google is the adverts are relevant to the content on the site, so there is a chance that visitors might see something that appeals and click on it.
The thing is, it may not bring anything in, but something is better than nothing.
Ive never gone down the route of putting adverts onto a site, and you may not think its practical.. but constantly paying out for a site and servers can take anything that will help Ned is good

u realise this ad doesnt pay for ppl clicking it ? every time some1 enters
www.cic-clan.com it produces a tiny bit of money, etf2l have made £800+ in 5 months and only 100 ppl have clicked the ad.
