just going through the forum, reading some pages that have several posts, but was just reading yoshi's most recent thread (think it's in the member section, i forget, so i won't describe the thread )... anyway, even reading that thread thats like 3 posts long, the forums keep refreshing themselves back to the forum homepage after a couple of minutes :E

so mainly wondering two things... (a) has there been some kind of update to the forum or webhosting that seems to be doing this, or (b) is anyone else experiencing this problem???

it could just be me, but it's not happening on other websites i'm on, and other forums etc, and my browser is pretty much open 24/7 like my computer... so for it to just start happening seems weird to me.


:E :E :E it just happened again, luckily pressing the back button saved my post, though i had been copying my typing as a precaution . Think i discovered the issue though. if i click on a new forum on the cic forums in another tab (within firefox), it makes all tabs using the cic forums go straight back to the forum home page. It's not simple making the pages go back one step either, as some i have clicked through to actual threads before opening the next tab.

browsing any forums, i typically open a new tab per section that has new posts, or places i wish to post in, so you can see why this will be a problem for me. I've the feeling it's a forum or webhost issue as well, because i was using the forums last night and it wasn't doing this, and i haven't reset my browser since then.......... :E :E :E just did it again, i think my theroy in why it happens is wrong.

nope, all seems good to me so far and i opened these forums about 10 times today with nps

you are not alone mine kept doing it this morning when i typed my post. i thought i was doing something wrong, glad im not the only one. like yu i saved my typing all the time so i didnt lose it

check your browser as i know both firefox and opera both have auto refreshes which can stuff things up.
I turned mine off in opera and forums seem fine for me.

never done this before though, like ever, and so seems weird why it would randomly start doing it now.

hmm, left posting this message idle for a bit and came back and has done it again. can't see any auto refresh options either.

Firefox Auto-refresher is an extension and so will not be default as there, which is why you can see it.
I have experienced it once using Firefox - but not sure what could have caused it. To be honest I would be I'm accidentally pressing something.

This happened to me when I was replying to a thread earlier today, and has never happened anywhere before. >_>

lol it happned to me, maybe its something to do with firefox 3?!?!

could be new firefox i have it too..hmmm ahh well im sure it will fix itself soon
