I recently upgraded and bought a new 250gb HDD. I already have a 60gb 7 year old beuaty with windows on. But when I plug it in windows will not boot and I get this message "Boot disk failure, insert system disk and press enter"

Was a fresh install of vista. Both HDD are pata and old one is set as master and new one as slave on IDE cable with both jumpers set as cable select. have also tried settin old one as master new as slave on jumpers.

BIOS is set to boot from HDD.

Can anyone help?

After trouble shooting by a few people in IRC seems like Frags bought a duff harddrive.
This does happen as i had a broken Sata2 Western Digital drive only a few months back, can be a pain to return/wait for testing then them shipping out new one but hey ho.

Hope you sort it soon frags and come play some TF2 or CSS or CoD4 or DoDS with the clan again.

For the new people in the clan Frags was leader for quite a while and did pretty well too!
