as for time in a game some people do just have one or two main games that all their time is spent on (tanks and fm? ;P)
if one of your games happened to be payday then time wouldnt be an issue atall

I've got a sudoku and word game on my phone which I've been playing a lot recently as I've not been at my computer half as much as usual the past few weeks. I've loaded up SC2 quite recently had a few of that too, Black Mesa not so long ago, a bit of Diablo 3, some CSS, a bit of FIFA and Call of Duty (both on console) with the lads at social evenings.. uhm.. oh and doing some extra stuff at work and staying late most evenings too.
To put a point to it, I haven't found many new games I would like to play for more than 5 minutes, because the end goal of them to me has changed, gaming has changed for myself and the industry itself.
The industry is geared up right now for cost-effectiveness, which means lots of sequels and a lot of unoriginality, I don't even need to name that. Even the originals are cost-induced, one game I'd love to play but I don't want to pay on it right now is Dishonored, which takes a lot of influence from a lot of other games, notably Bioshock and Skyrim was the main influence for a lot of character, animation and art direction; which developers admitted to proudly, because if you can get something cheap, easy and directed, heck, why pass that up? Although it just shows the state of play in the industry when they're thinking more about cutting corners than the innovation of the late 90s / early 00s.
Secondly the very few games I'd buy, like dishonored are not too pricy, I think they're a fair price, however for the amount of time I will sink in to them right now, they're too pricy for me. I've made it common knowledge that I'd only play Borderlands 2 for £10 or less for example. Although yeah, FM and Tanks are not only games I can sink time in to, however their framework is structured that I can play casually and also multi-task at the same time, so I can play FM while I watch the football or tanks while I watch my series/movies. A lot of, if not most games, I prefer to put all of or just simply require a lot more attention that I can't or won't do as I watch a series/TV etc.
tldr; games are getting shitty, they cost too much for what they are for me time wise and that's a rather long reply to a schneide yet probably quite harmless dig.
