There has been a recent run on making films of children's tales like Jack and the beanstalk or Hansel and Gretel and this goes a little further.

I wont tell you the plot but i would say that its dark like the Brothers Grim tales are and Angelina Jolie is really good, i know she's not the most convincing actress on the planet but i thought she played the bad guy pretty well.

I was surprised but another of these fairy tale films has turned out to be pretty good and very watchable, i would expect kids would enjoy and even the younger ones should be able to cope (even Kop).

if it starred anyone else i would have gone to the cinema to see it, but i can't bring myself to pay to see Angelina Jolie in anything... when she looked like a normal person maybe, but now she looks like a witch and well, maybe that makes her more suited to this part .

will end up watching it at some point but when i think about trying to find it i always think about the trailer, and imo the bits that show Angelina look poorly acted and as though it is Angelina shoehorned into a film and everything storyline-wise goes on around her, it doesn't make me feel like she is Maleficent. It's only the trailer i have seen i know, but i watch films to be absorbed into the universe that the film makes, and the trailer doesn't make me want to be a part of that universe ...... i've had that feeling before from a few trailers where i have ended up loving the film, but i find it extremely hard to bring myself to watch something when i have already formed an opinion about it in my head.
