Movie: Horns

Daniel Radcliffe in this one, probably one of his better films since harry potter, because lets face it, thats not hard to do ;)... obv not on the same level as the harry potter films but this is still a very good film.

Highly recormend checking it over... DVD quality downloads are out there ;)

It's a new take on a murder mystery. In the first 5 mins it sets the scene, main character is madly in love with his girlfriend and she with him... been together since they were 7 or whatever.... skip ahead a few months and she has been dead for a while and someone killed her, no one knows who but daniel radcliffe's character is being blamed, people camping outside his house to give him abuse, the usual :D... thing is, he was wasted the night she died and argued with her before getting plastered and doesn't remember even if he did do it.

He hits rock bottom and wakes up the following day with devil horns... thing is no one seems to notice that it's unusual because when people look away it kind of fades from their minds, but when they look at him they can't help but tell him their desires... and they do whatever he says... they kind of ask his permission to do messed up stuff, whatever they secretly desire to do, etc. Only good people can't see the horns.

When he comes to terms with it all, he uses his new found power to solve the mystery of who killed his girlfriend.

:4.0:

Good film and resists the urge to do over the top comedy routines, so fully deserving a 4 star ratring... would give it a 4.5 but i can't get used to hearing Daniel Radcliffe have an american accent.

Biggest downfall about this film is that it has a large flashback in the middle... it makes sense to have it there, it just could be shorter or broken up throughout the film. By the time the flashback is 50-75% done you just can't help wanting it to go back to present day.... the rest of the film has much shorter flashbacks to when they were kids, but it's just that one moment when it seems to drag.
