I heard about this about 6 months ago, and it worried me a bit. Looked at that time to be a clone of Epoch, but with less content, being developed by a much smaller team than Epoch. (one of the old Epoch devs works on Exile).

I'll keep an eye on it, but from what I saw, there was no way it would be in a release state this year.

I saw this the other day and past the links on to Cookie, as I'm not sure if ARK or Dayz Standalone is going to do it for me unfortunately.

The building system and the actual materials look fantastic, as do many of the ideas and the general make up of the mod.
Here's hoping they continue the way they are and that it peeks people's interest and that it gets a good following...

Speaking of dates, our expected release date is the 21st of August. Since vacations, business trips and families keep us busy in the meantime, this date could vary a little bit. In case we have to move the release date, we will inform you here. But we will do our best to keep this date locked.

Thank's Prad

In the link I noticed this :
Respect

Respect is some sort of score that your character will gain over time. If you frag someone, you will gain respect. If you kill a bambi or a mate, you will lose respect. Respect is required to interact with the Mafia. For example, if you want to extend your territory, you will need respect. Thus you are forced to leave your base if you want to extend your base.
IF it's decided that the guys would like to take a look at this, some options may need to be in the server set up to allow this to be changed/amended, otherwise it may only be good for PvP play in the long run. There would also need to be AI, Monsters, Aliens, Neds to fight otherwise there'll be no action at all on PvE.

While it looks like it should work well for PvP from the off, anyone wanting PvE could be in for a wait. But I'd still happily give it a go as I feel there's so much more that could have been achieved with Epoch and I really like A3 / A2 very much still. But like any new server and mod it'll need a good load of players on it for it to be a success.

Oh really. I didn't see that sorry...

Ah yes :
Diversity

Server owners are able to affect the loot in game. Loot tables, spawn rates, high loot areas and so on will differ per server. Also, servers are able to add or modify crafting recipes. Exile does not include any AI, quests or missions. However, we have prepared a mission and AI framework server side, so server owners can add them for you. If you like zombies, go join a server with zombies. If you like close combat, go join a server with a tiny map. If you like IKEA missions, join a mission server. If you like PvE, go join a PvE server. You get the point :) We have also defined different difficulty levels. So if you feel the Bambi-Mode is too easy to survive, try the “Oh-My-Gosh-Mode”.
So it'll be interesting to see what will work with the mod, ie the existing mods on the A3 server, which would make it utterly fantastic if so...

Kronen - don't book any holiday
