I'm posting this purely because i know some people use the services that Bouncers4You offer and should take this as a warning to your future with them

2 years ago i purchased a IRC Bouncer from them

About a month ago i got an email from them saying that my renewal is up soon. I took it as a gentle reminder because there was no pricing, no dates, no nothing. I was unable to login and was unable to request my password sent to me because apprently my email didn't exist on their servers, even though they were emailing me. So i left it and thought well, it's not that important to me i'll let it expire.

yesterday i couldn't login to my bouncer so i figured it was canceled, fair enough, HOWEVER, i received an email from them :S

in this email it stated that i owed them money and they threatened me by saying they were going to send some collection company after me.
It then stated that i could pay the money owed and everything would be fine and i could continue my account
it also stated that i could cancel my account for a small fee, i would still need to pay this renewal fee on top of the cancelation fee.
it then stated that if i could prove that i was bankrupt, i could pay a smaller cancelation fee................ bankrupt pretty much means i'm not paying anyway.


the whole thing was some bullying tactic by them with an attitude of... signed up for us, signed up for life.

i've told them where to get off by telling them what i signed up for, quoting the orginial signup emails reading through the terms of service and stating that nothing was stated about cancelation fees and automatic renewals, etc. As far as i'm concerned they can suck my balls.

I've signed up to another bouncer now which is perhaps a little more expensive, but there is more freedom with them and it's one i've used in the past so i know what to expect.

With telling you all this i'm not aiming to get you to cancel your accounts with them, it's just to make you aware that they are complete and utter cocks who don't deserve your business.

oh, i believe it also stated that the cancelation request needs to be put in 4 weeks in advance... though i could be remembering wrong about that

i have 5 bnc with them, they are cheap but not the best quality as they have had very flakey nights but still i prolly wont change as i cant rem when my contract runs as i just renew so many things for cic i dont keep track
