LOTRO now Free to play

Lord of the Rings Online has just gone or is about to go free to play. I have been a subscriber for years although my son plays it more than me due to time constraints.

For anyone into WoW this should be relatively painless to get into as the control mechanisms and gameplay are essentially very similar but the graphics, the world itself, is so well done it is deffo worth a play.

kewl that it's now free, but LOTRO never really drew me into wanting to play it by saying it's a "no magic" fantasy mmo. no magic in a fantasy mmo seems pointless in a way

This now has happened for real! Although they sell items/quests/gear in their store, you can still play the majority of the game to max level.
