Yesterday it was -9 according to my car when i got into work, and radio nottingham said it went as low as -11 around here :S, though good thing is that we had no snow... yet. Today it's -5.5 atm, and still no snow, though apprently it's due here on Thursdays. Would love it to snow on Xmas Day though, would rather it not snow on Xmas-eve, cos thats when me and my friends annual all day drinking session starts
Saying numbers though for the cold doesn't do it justice of how cold it actually is, as i'm sure your all aware, so here's a little story of how cold it is...
I had to go fill up my car last night, and did the usual... lift nozel, press "pay at kiaosk" or however thats spelt, then tried to open the thing to fill it up, which for me is like a cover that locks with the cap under it, but the cap under it was frozen shut. I decided to leverage it open with my car keys, as thats all i had that could get a good angle into it. Eventually it worked. I paid up etc and got back in my car and my key would only go half way in
. Appears i bent the key just that little bit so i couldn't actually get the key in the ignition . So while i blocked everyone out 
i just managed to bend it back enough to get the car started :SSo... it's so cold here that it bends metal
