Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ARE NOT SPACE ALIENS!!!

tbh i'd still probably go and see it, but aliens they are not. The writers couldn't "make it work" with the original origin story... even though it has been around for 28 years and retold in many different ways and formats. There's been several different comic versions, 3 or 4 different cartoon versions, different film version and live action tv show version, but nope they can't figure out a way how to show it on the big screen. It's like if they made a spiderman film and said... nah, being bitten by a radioactive spider is a bit cliche in this day and age, so lets just make Peter Parker into a robot who can shoot ropes out of his hands.
