Many may know that Limewire got shutdown because of copyright infringements, but what people may not know is how much the music industry thinks that they can get in compensation... only about $75 trillion. For though of you that don't know dollar to pound conversation rates, that equals about as much as.... more than all the money in the world thats in existence.

At first glance is retarded... and then is retarded again, but don't forget though that Limewire likely has a huge datebase of email addresses, IP addresses and information from all the spyware that used to be on programs like that, so no doubt that is their real target because even if Limewire had the means to rob every single person on the planet for every single penny they had, even that lost down the back of the sofa, they ain't paying that amount.

The estimation is no doubt also based on the years of operation. Typical of Americans though, to claim damages that can't be paid, it's pretty much how 75% of their legal damages system works.

lets hope limewire have deleted/will delete all their database so the robbing bastards cant get it. not that i ever used it as it was one i avoided
