Until i can find out if we are exempt from EU laws which are now being enforced i would like to declare the following.

Yes we use cookies, if you don't want them on your machine then turn up your browser security or deny cookies in the cookie tool section. If you do not use cookies here lots of things will break and some things will not display.
We (CiC and myself) do not use cookies for anything other than users logging in, google checking site use and social bookmark buttons.
Cookies include:
Google: about 8 of them, 1 of which belongs to CiC analytics for tracking use, the rest belong to search engines and social network sites - most of these can be avoided by not coming in from a google search page or pressing a twitter/fb/google +1 button but none of the cookies are anything sinister further than tracking website use.
PHPBB3: user name and password session cookies which allow you to post and access restricted areas along with remembering which country you are in to help with time and translation.
CiC: cookies to pass you between forums and main website.

Most of our cookies are session based which means they either expire after x-hours or session cookies which are deleted after you close your browser.

If you do not want our cookies then turn them off and see what breaks or don't visit.

After i check exemption i will decide if it is worth having an opt-in button like other sites will have to have over the coming weeks, or not.
