a 9 year old girl has been banned by the council of her area from taking photo's of her school dinners, which she posts on her blog website called NeverSeconds. She was brought into the headteachers office and told she was banned from taking more photo's and would have to stop her blog.
Like WTF. I can't think of a possible (sensible) reason why a council would feel the need to ban a child from taking pictures of school dinners in order to rate them, and then doing it through the kids headteacher, it puzzles me.
Now today since the story broke out in the national newspapers, there's been a campaign on Twitter to get her unbanned, which involved people making the whole world aware of the situation, as well as posting links to the council's website's complains form. The council has now reversed their decision due to mounting pressure from well... the world (that uses Twitter).
Possible Celeb Chef of the future? Or reviewer for some cooking magazine, or maybe even in newspapers? Wouldn't surprise me as it's yet another case of instant fame thanks to Twitter because of a stupid new story. I'm sure there's some corporate business machine out there thats looking to capitalise off something like this.
