Becoming an Admin

We're always on the lookout for server admins but we're not going to accept just anyone. To become an admin you must at the very least have the following apply...

1, Have voice comms and mumble installed.
2, Be an active and helpful player on the server.
3, Follow our server rules to the letter.
4, Have a steam account.
5, speak english (we do so no point if you can't)

Thats all simple enough to do, just reply to this thread and we'll reply back... let us know your steam name so we can add you, and if we're recruiting, we'll let you know.

It's also an advantage if...

1, your active on our mumble server
2, your active on our forums
3, speak another language so you can help non-english players

Given that these days all I seem to be doing is playing Origins at seemingly all hours, I figured I'd offer my services if and when they might be required. As per the requirements, I do have mumble installed and am not afraid to use it, I generally try to be as helpful as I can be, especially to new players, and of course always adhere to the server rules, regardless of which server or game it applies to. I also have a steam account (Drakesans). Despite being Scottish, I can actually speak English reasonably well, although unfortunately I don't have a decent command of any other languages.

Some other info that may come in useful; I have been server admin for game servers in the past including Minecraft, CS and BF. I've also been guild/clan leader in a couple of games including Eve Online, Warcraft, Rift and Warhammer, so dealing with people is not a problem. I'm also a musician by trade, so my hours tend to be a little outside the normal, meaning I'm usually able to be very active online, especially in the wee small hours of the morning.

So there you have it, my application in a nutshell. I don't vie for power, or special privileges, just looking for an opportunity to serve what has been an incredibly friendly and well organised server.

can't see you not being an admin tbh, as your pretty active and most in the clan already know you or of you... just got some bits to sort out with the admin side of things first, few issues need addressing etc, then will get back to you about this.

Guys! Please accept in administrators and in your clan of the guy speaking Russian! Why I ask it? Because on your remarkable server play as our Russian children. And I would like that they would have though any support! And punishment if it is necessary!b

your english typing seems a little broken but it looks good enough to get by, so it shouldn't be a problem with you becoming an admin. Please can you add me on steam (add john@nagash.net), or give me your account name and i'll add you, then we can sort you our being an admin etc.

Well, due to the start of the Epoch Server a lot or actually all of the 'old' admins of the Dayz Origins Server are gone. Furthermore you are not able to contact them in case of e.g. needing a restart. Is it perhaps possible to give me the rank of an admin so that I can do these restarts? Or that we have at least the oppurtunity to build houses and stuff like that?

Not all are gone Mack, I do actually monitor Origins most of the day, and it still gets its restarts every 8 hours roughly (or as close to it as I can manage).

true though that our main focus is the epoch server, so won't be too much of a problem to make new admins for now... Origins is getting an update soon so we'll probably get more players playing it again until people remember how bad a mod it is compared to the rest

add me on steam please and we'll sort stuff out... if you don't use mumble this is the main requirement because we have to be able to contact you.
