DayZ Standalone Out Now

Not been around much this week and won't likely be around much until after the weekend, though i just noticed that DayZ Standalone has been released on Steam a few days ago. it's like £19.99 and comes with a warning that it's extreme alpha and likely filled with bugs and such... like game breaking bugs, not just things you could accept and play along with. So if you hate that kind of thing, don't buy it.

they have had like 172,000 purchases so far, or thats what it was on the last report i saw, i imagine it's bigger now.

Just to give you an idea of the games status, "Playable Vehicles" is listed as a future development of the game.

They also plan on doing player constructed buildings as well, which is good cos that is something i didn't want to wait extra time for a mod for that feature.

Anyway. there it is. i will prob buy it so can play from the ground floor and see how it develops. if anyone else gets it, lemme know and we can raid servers and stuff.

I have it, but been working a lot so haven't had much time to play. I did a small review in another thread, but on reflection one thing I didn't mention I really likes, was how difficult it is again. When you finally do find an item, it's such a good feeling!

So if you're around at some point, I'll happily go nab around a bit in my silly bike helmet.

kewl will definatley have to team up and try and rampage a server or two in proper pvp mode. I'll probably get bored of PvP fast, but thats what i've been missing from our server tbh cos i've never played full on pvp dayz.

i not around tonight as going to works xmas party, and then tomorrow i'm on an all dayer with my mates, so if i am back on sat, i won't be in a playable state ... sunday depends how bad i am from the day previous, but i'll get it downloaded and everything ready for whenever i'm around.
