Character loss

Post by Alan »

Hey guys. LTNS

recently (last saturday i think) steam auto updated Battleye on my pc and I believe the final move to steamworks servers took place as gamespy died.

anyways to cut a long story short i had to re-install arrowhead and for some reason my UID in my arma profile has changed

my old UID was 6015622
and the new one is 76561198037099687

is it possible to copy the stats from one ID to another as my humanity has been reset and i've lost whatever gear the little guy was carrying ?

I'm not sure exactly what gear but I know he had a DMR m41CCO SD and a coyote backpack...... oh and funky hero clothes :).

tbh I don't give a crap about the gear, its the humanity that's a downer.

I have key copies and spare tools in the safe at base so vehicles etc should be ok) if the base is still there that is as i've not been on for a few weeks (been too busy and exhausted with real life crap)

As you can appreciate, any such updates would need to be checked by the server admins to verify any server side changes that may need to take place. Once that is done, I imagine they could make a change in the player database (if it's as simple as I think) and then do a reboot to effect the changes.

If it's not as simple, you will have to prepare for the chance it is lost.

Just hang right, and one if the sever admins will pop by to answer

Hey Guys.

After the upgrade to version 1.63, it seems that I have changed GUID. I went to the server as a beginner. My humanity had fallen to 2500, although this was 48k +. Now I can not build on its base, I can not remove elements of buildings, and it is possible that after 3 weeks of my base may be gone.

And also whether it is possible to return to the old server settings for 30 meters pole [40, 0]? This makes it possible to build a large base.

it should be possible for whoever is currently doing the admin stuff to change your humanity and GUID, but this is server based. If your GUID has changed that is your GUID now. What you will need to do is post your NEW GUID here. Also put you OLD GUID in the same post... typing it out is just better because then whoever is doing the changes can copy and paste then :D

As i recall, Humanity is really easy to change... that list you posted looks like someone has already changed Tmoose's Humanity, so it shouldn't be a problem for them to do.

After that they will need to find everything with your OLD GUID and replace those numbers with your NEW GUID. This might just be plot poles, i don't know, it might even be that it's just links your old character to your new one... it's not a simple job by any means... however NOTHING can be done unless you post your new GUID.

looks like the change to steam patch has reset a load of people, not tried mine yet, but we may be able to manually search and replace in the database. it has become a lot tougher as a load of tools have stopped working so we are rather slower than normal as the patch was huge.
No bases will be destroyed at the moment and we will look at clean ups later once things have settled.
if people can keep posting with as much detail as they can we will get through it all soon as possible

I don't know my old GUID, but i can write my present GUID:
from DayZCommander: b1989f88515a91c99cb1e35fcd64293c
from BE in Game: 06fb30be4ca10f185956f2ee09223117

I am not in a hurry and willing to wait as long as necessary. Humanity - not a problem. Disappeared outfit - a trifle. Much more concerned with the opportunity to continue to build on its base, as well as to remove the structure (even after death, as it was before the upgrade). I would like to remove the buffer zone of 30 meters from the post (as it was before the upgrade).

Tmoose - is a cheater. It seems to me that it is "[TGK] PAKI DAVE". Because either before or after he did not appear in the game.

ollaf do a search for your name on the server stats... it should show your old and new characters (and both UID's)

Edit: i just did it for you, your old GUID was 125983366
