Battleye hates me

Get the 'kicked from game: battleye not responding' message whenever I join any server now, was wondering if anyone knew any other solutions as I've tried:
A complete reinstall of arma2 & OA
Replacing the battleye .dll in steamapp's OA battleye folder and appdata local's OA battleye folder from the battleye website
using the UninstallBE and the BEsetup files found in steamapp's OA folder
deleting the MPMissions folder

all of which to no luck. I can guarantee it is not a router/modem issue as cook can get on and she sits like three meters from me.
any other suggestions would be appreciated
