I was recently employed at a local warehouse job and on my way towards it (sunday night shift) I slipped and fell.
It was -7 degrees that night and it wasn't until I got to work (and worked 6 hours) that the adrenaline wore off and noticed I had a dislocated wrist, busted and swollen knee and possibly (not yet discovered, need x-ray) cracked/bruised, sore upper arm.
I worked there for 5 weeks, until I had to call it quits. I wouldn't of got sick pay due to it being via agency and them having it cheaper if they rehired then pay someone sick, I was told that up front. So, it's why I quit.
When I get fixed up, hopefully I can return to manual labour work because it wasn't until a week before I started there I passed my H&S and CSCS requirements! *facepalm*.
I'm not made for manual labour.

Re: I'm not made for manual labour.
So it was on the 23rd of November when I had my incident.
I went to A&E a week later after this post and I was told it was all "swollen" stuff. My wrist still pops, my knee cannot take any pressure what so ever, my injured arm is better now (as that was just swelling and bruised muscle) but I also have and have had since that night, a sore shin, just a specific spot.
I don't plan going to A&E again to get it sorted, I went to my GP and they told me to refer to self-psychical therapy.
