if you don't like action films, don't bother with this film because it is basically a 2hr action scene
At the start of the film there is a short "i'm mad max" type thing, but if you have never seen any of the previous films, then it won't matter, you won't be lost.... i haven't see the Mel Gibson run and i followed the plot no problem
Max then gets caught by some crazies and turned into a human blood bag that fuels drivers. He's strapped to a car and hooked up to the driver via IV line... that kinda deal.
Meanwhile a female drive called Furiosa is on a supply run with an escort, goes off road and turns out to be stealng the "breeders" (hot chicks) and taking them to safety.
the person driving with Mad Max and Max end up part of the army chasing them but end up being part of the womens team,,,, this is when the crazies... this is when plot ends and action takes over. It has some awesome moments, maybe to many awesome moments early on cos i would say the film trails off in the last 20mins, but thats not to say it's anything bad, it's still good action packed chase scenes, explosions all over the shop and what have you, it's just you feel exhausted by the time the end approaches. There's only so much explosions you can take
But again, it's an awesome film, well worth the watch, if you find something bad about the film you are just not picking, or hate action films.
What this film has going for it is that it's all practical effects, apart from one obvious green screen scene. That means when you see a car exploding, it's a real car exploding.
Also this film gets a +1 for the dude mounted on a car covered in spikes via a few bungee cords while rockin out on his guitar.......... which fires flames. He's awesome in every scene he's in
