Thinking about this but need to know if people are interested
Post comments as this is another heavy investment of development time

If CiC raised an Arma Exile server would you play on it?

Re: If CiC raised an Arma Exile server would you play on it?
I voted yes of course.
This is a great place to be and I'd jump at the chance to play on a server here and bring back some of that CiC magic again.
Myself, Cookie, Bits, Prad, Fuji, Gellu, Gaby, Strimmer, Zed and others have been playing on a US based PvE Exile server. While it's got a variety of mods in it, it's seemingly run by some Hitler/Stalin hybrid and he's getting on our wicks big time. Vehicle stealing is rampant as is PvP and it's frankly becoming a right frigging chore on there. Anyway, I'll send them the link in Mumble and I'd hope they'd all be up for it...
Kroe needs to come back and add his deft hand to this too, should it get the interest required of course.
Thanks Ned

Re: If CiC raised an Arma Exile server would you play on it?
I've been playing on a PVE server that seems to work well.
I have only played on this server so I don't know how much is exile or mods but it has:-
1) Missions - with a remaining reward counter showing (troops / boxes).
2) Drones - that look like proper military drones (not quad type).
3) Temporary (vanish on re-start) non-lockable, vehicle spawns (you can sell at trader).
4) Lockable vehicles that you select a pin number when you purchase (to lock/unlock).
5) Roaming AI (with vehicles that you can sell at trader) - they are not sniper shooters but will kill you if you don't get them.
Things the admins try to upkeep:-
Do not park in safe zones.
No PVP.
No raiding.
No stealing.
Things I don't know that would be nice to know:-
i) Is there decay on home made buildings ? - Found out you have to pay a protection fee LOL (after notification)
ii) Do any of the vehicles tow ?
iii) Can the choppers lift ?
iv) How stable are home made platforms for storing choppers (do they go boom on restart) ?

Try, Die, then Re-try.

1. Decay is built in to Exile - you pay your dues upstairs at the Airport where you buy the flag poles from.Christhor wrote: Things I don't know that would be nice to know:-

2. Not without an added script.
3. You can lift in an unmodded ArmA 3 game so I think so.
4. They're absolutely fine for putting Helis on.

as exile uses MYSQL rather than the crap flat file the world seems to spawn properly and should work as A2 epoch did with platforms etc
there is a towing script but not lifting atm not sure if there is something in built though
