not sure what to make of the paying thing yet. I may buy it but i assume it's going to be free character rotation and unlock characters through playing similar to heroes of the storm..... so i dunno if it's worth buying since i'll play it to death anyway and unlock all the characters. Thou I'll probably buy a character skin after playing for a bit and i've decided on my preferred character/s.

Also yeah, level is post based. Your averaging 1 post like every 3 weeks atm get posting more and the level goes up

not really sure what type of character i'll be playing yet... probably something sneaky as i've always liked the Spy in both TFC and TF2... but it depends how it plays competitively really.

I've heard the characters with SG/deployables are really broken and OP atm, so i'll be interesting to see how they get fixed, but blizzard have said they won't be fixing them until 2016.... so who knows how they'll play out. I would be tempted to be an SG type person as well, not because they are reportedly OP, but it's a basic enough role to play ... again, depends on how everything is when i get to play the game thou

They are saying that the core gameplay is switchable changes during the match, so the team can change tactics if somethings not working.

This is something that Heroes of the Storm lacks, cos if your getting rolled you either sit back and hope the other team slips up, or leave.... changing characters would eliminate that... so thats what they are going for. Unfortunately that also means people need a wide selection of characters to be, so instead of making like 10 characters free to play, they are making the game something you have to buy and you'll get all 21 characters, cos lets face it, having half the people free to play seems a bit pointless, and any less than 10 would be pointless, cos you'd have only 2 or 3 different people you could be for a given role (eg Tank, DPS, etc).

It's a good move tbh, i'd rather pay for a good quality game than one that'll suck because people always drop from matches or won't try different characters cos they are sucking at a role.

No doubt there will be a free to play mode like all of Blizzards other games, in a try before you buy kinda way.

well I've now bought. ive not got into the beta. I would really would like CiC to be apart of the community and the comp scene tf2 is dead (unless you like hats), from what ive seen this will be the next lvl in fps multiplayer. i've already made my mind up who i will be playing.

so, from what you've seen so far whats taken your fancy?

ps, 7 years ive been here, and im only lvl 2 wtf, sort it out :p

The ranks are post based. Basically ally you are stuc at Level 2 because you don't spam enough... I mean, post enough!

Thought i'd bump this thread cos i just saw an early access advertisement on a website saying that pre-orders can start playing from 24th May, or something like that.

Anyone pre-ordered this game yet? or anyone planning to get it still?

My buzz for this game has gone quite a bit now as i was more than willing to get one of the bundles with extra stuff, then i saw the whole thing about how 95% of the people who got on the beta was streamers and media, everyone else was purposely ignored... kinda left a sour taste that one, but the game still looks good... though they are banning sexy victory poses now or some shit.

doubtful there will be a ETF2L type league system out there because Blizzard will probably do their own matchmaking system for ranked stuff, similar to Heroes of the Storm.

I think you'll get on with it well from what i have seen of it though ned. It's very TF2 like but has more variety with it's roles... a nice engineer class that seems very TFC like to me, but thats just based on videos i've seen
