Firefox Quantum
has been said to reduce ram usage on heavy-built websites due to it's new render platform. Don't get me wrong, Google Chrome is developing on the same platform as Firefox is, but it seems Firefox has gotten to it first.
Looking at stats from the public, people have seen a huge reduce of performance when it comes to doing multiple tasks.
One user has said, he had 50+ tabs on Firefox it used 5GB of ram, whereas it's counterpart Google Chrome used 8GB.
Another said, while watching Twitch it used 10% of RAM, whereas Google Chrome used 30%.
As a user of Firefox, I'm glad they've released this due to issues with their older version so I'm hoping there is some change here and I've had several times where my browser would freeze just loading html5 and/or flash videos.
I'm looking forward to what this has to offer and I thought you guys should know that it is now available.
Firefox 57.0 has been released.

Good because I started using Edge just to get rid of the ram usage problem . It has problems with remembering password but I would rather have that then that insane ram use
Good to hear is actually doing something about this major problem . Great news
