. From the sounds of things, Microsoft are trying to Console up the PC a little, making it more like Mac's and get total control over the PC operating system. So valve are going to start doing stuff for Linux as a safety net. Fair play to them.I've seen two sides to this article though, one where it supports what Valve say, which are the obvious developer supporters, cos they get somewhat block because of it; and also one that supports the way that consoles do things and claims that gamers will like this move because it'll support xbox live and has an app store.
This could be the future one day... Linux instead of PC's for gaming. Most dedicated servers and such already run better on linux as it is, so will be interesting to see how this story develops.
