Mostly on the mark apart from imo pricing , although it is "expensive" a lot of games are sub £30 at release , and when you think of what you get for that it can be a lot. Back when I started playing games (master system baby!) games were around £30 at release and even when the ps came out the cheap games were £20 adjust for inflation and we are looking at super deals. As for the trend in sequels that is just down to it being a safe 'investment' and form of entertainment investment can be a risk as it costs a lot to produce an AAA title and you want to make sure there is a good return, many developers have folded after one flop and a lot of, even big, publishers are financially unsound so stick to what they like and sell them it for £40!
As for "dig" not intended I just went by what you have been playing to my knowledge fm on steam tanks in mumble , as you and I said for you they are good time sinks and as I said if you found you could paly payday like that then op wouldn't be a big deal.

Re: PayDay, hidden vault
I was tired last night
And the master system was awesome, I actually discussed that with my family yesterday and how my sister misused it for a potty and broke it, so we bought a mega drive. That shit cost like £100! Old 90s money not new broken money too!
I haven't tried DOTA 2 properly yet because no one else really had it, but I have gifted it to about 7 people already, couple in CiC, so I may try that soon.

Re: PayDay, hidden vault
i know siege and balloon have it and i think balloon gifted it to weiss as well, so we'll have enough for a team
with pricing and such, i get why it can be annoying to have high prices, but it's all realitive to how much you enjoy the game... so long as you know the type of game you want and enjoy, it shouldn't be a problem, i mean, Tanks may be free but we've all probably spent enough on premium to class it as a normal priced game, if not a more expensive game... and talk about rehashing games with slightly different features.... FM is probably one of the first games to adopt that business model properly, well back when it was called Championship manager... '93 i think that was? maybe earlier... it was on the Amiga as i recall.
Prices for top end systems have, if anything, got better over the ages, if you average it out. I recall Amiga 600 and Mega Drive games were about £30 each, sometimes about £25 if you were lucky, which was about mid 90's, and all you had to go on was a fancy box and a review in a magazine. Now we have the internet with 100's of free reviews as well as people publishing their own games or random cheapo games. Only real difference is that we have too much choice. In the 90's and earlier, gaming was a hobby and 2 companies dominated the market place with the old Sega vs Nintendo, but now it's a whole industry that rivals other big business like the film & tv industry.
As a fanbase we are our own worst enemies, supply and demand = fill the market with shit and hope some of it sticks.
